Last 3 weeks and Homework

The last three weeks will be as follows:-

Week 11/29 - 12/3


We will do Units 15 and 16 in class.
Homework is to check all the units we have done (5,9,10,1112B,,14,15,16) and to WRITE YOUR OWN answers for the activities in the handout I gave you.

You can be imaginative and creative and can use other words not in the book if you like.

e.g.

Shopping and clothing:-

Activity 1. Look at Picture 2 and Picture 3 and write what you think they are.

Picture 2:
I think this one is a department store but it might be a discount store.
Picture 3.:
I think this one is a mall but it might be a department store.



Week 12/6 - 12/10


Individual Sessions (15 min with me in my office). Same times as before. Bring your homework from last week.


Week 12/13 - 12/17


Listening/writing test on 12/13 Monday 11-12 for everyone.

Individual tests 15 min each in my office. Same times as before EXCEPT Hye-Jin, Yong-taek, Ho-jeong, Min-hee. We will make new appointments for you..

Midterm Test - Conversation Class - 2nd semester

The midterm test will be in week 9 (from 10/25 - 10/29)

Questions will be asked from Units 9-12.
I will post conversation samples here next week.

Also prepare to answer a question : 3 reasons why its useful to learn English.


Each student will see me for 15 minutes.

Most of the test will be conversation.


The times will be on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I will organize with you in class.

Monday 11-12: 4 students
Monday 12- 1: 2 students
Monday 1-2: 4 students

Unit 3. What are you doing to stay healthy?

p.22 You will have to write some sentences and choose correct grammar sentences

p.24. Know the sentences and how to use them. (I have a fever etc)

p.25 What do you do when you get sick? (or if)

If I have a fever I take medicine. If I get a stomach ache I stay in bed. If I have a cough I go to the doctor. If I feel sick I lie down for a while. If I have a sore throat I lie down for awhile. If I have a sore throat I drink tea with honey. If I have a headache I take aspirin.

What do you do if:

you have a bad cold and have to go to class
feel sore after exercising
have a high fever
have an upset stomach after eating
feel tired and run down
have to cough and sneeze at a concert


UNIT 4

p.34. Know the correct way to say your birthday and someone elses.
